Runs the long campaigns, leads board game nights, teaches the newbies, and trash-talks the veterans — usually all in the same evening.
Gambit is where strangers become a party, beginners become regulars, and every table tells a story worth retelling.
Gambit didn't happen overnight. It began with a humble Catan meetup and a spark of mischief — two friends who wanted the game night they couldn't find anywhere in Dubai. What started as casual evenings around a single board mutated into a full-blown gaming community (friendly, promise) spanning board games, roleplaying campaigns, and corporate takeovers.
Today, Gambit runs weekly board game nights, multiple live D&D campaigns, and bespoke tabletop experiences for brands and festivals across the UAE. More than 500 gamers have pulled up a chair. Nine resident Dungeon Masters and Game Masters keep the tables running — and every one of them is sworn to the same idea: teach first, play always.
We're not a clique and we're not a shop. We're a community built on three simple commitments — the same ones we've kept since the first meetup.
Never rolled a D20 or shuffled a worker-placement deck? Perfect. Every table has someone whose job is to get you playing — no homework, no gatekeeping, no judgement.
Savage at the table, loyal off it. Volunteers play free, regulars look out for newcomers, and the group chat never really sleeps.
Sessions are 25–30 AED — enough to keep the lights on, snacks stocked, and DMs fairly paid. No surprise fees, ever.
Fees go straight back into the table: venue, supplies, and a fair share for the Dungeon Masters and Game Masters who pour hours into prepping your night. Volunteers who help run events play for free. Corporate and festival collaborations help fund the community sessions that stay affordable for everyone.
